Youth Fellowship

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
(Proverbs 22:6)

 My name is Will Mitchell and I am the youth minister here at Holton 1^st UMC. I studied at Manhattan Christian College and have a degree in secondary education from Kansas State University. I have a wonderful wife and four year old son. My time here has been nothing less than a blessing from God. I am honored to be able to work with youth at such a critical point in their lives.  We truly live in a difficult time for our youth with all the distractions technologies offer in the 21^st century. Studies have shown life long habits are more likely to be formed between the ages of 13 to 18. Here at 1^st UMC we discuss what the Bible says about these topics that are facing our teens today.

Our goal for our youth at 1^st UMC has three parts:

1) to share the life saving good news of Jesus Christ

2) to help build Christ centered relationships with our youth

3) to teach our youth what it means to walk with Christ in everyday life.
